Badrul Shah Baharuddin, more affectionately known as BAD among his friends, started out with amateur bodybuilding in mid-2004. His entire life came to an abrupt standstill when he was ruthlessly run over by a car at 10am on a Sunday the 24th of May 2009. He was barely alive when the ambulance got to him. The driver of the car who hit him was never brought to justice as the police classified it as a case of hit and run.
The entire top part of his skull had shattered result from the accident. In a coma for two weeks, he battled for his life. Fortunately, he survived. Two months later, the doctors patched his skull together with titanium. Within six months, BAD was back in the gym working through the scars and the pain of surgery.
